How I added an Animation to this Blog.
This is how I did it. Maybe there is another way, but this worked for me.
I used AOL FTP space.
•I already had the GIF file in there & went to file manager & clicked on it so it would come up on my screen, then copied the address in my browser.
•I went to the posting screen(on Blogspot)
•I clicked on the HTML tab instead of Compose tab( top rt)
•I click on the Pic icon & add the image where it says URL (on RT)
a bunch of codes comes up, hit preview(under compose) to make sure it works.
•then I Published Post

Caroling Through J-LandCaroling Through J-Land http://journals.aol.com/fasttrack58/FootprintsintheSand/entries/2380
My Favorite is
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
My Favorite is
Silent Night
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night, holy night,
Shepherds quake at the sight,
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavely hosts sing alleluia;
Christ the Saviour, is born!
Christ the Saviour, is born!
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.

Firefighting~Monday Photo Shoot
There was a fire 2 houses away from us, about a month ago.
It left an older man homeless. My son & his friends are volunteers
for a local fire dept. Here are a few photos I took.
The last photo is a collage of 3 different photos. I am not happy with it.
It seems out of balance.

Another favorite from my AOL journal, Photographs & Memories.
A father may turn his back on his child, brothers and sisters may become inveterate enemies,
husbands may desert their wives, wives their husbands. But a mother's love endures through all.
~Washington Irving
A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the
place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us,
still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness,
and cause peace to return to our hearts.
~Washington Irving
Mother's love is peace. It need not be acquired, it need not be deserved.
~Erich Fromm
The tie which links mother and child is of such pure and immaculate strength as to be never violated.
~Washington Irving
Youth fades; love droops; the leaves of friendship fall; A mother's secret hope outlives them all.
~Oliver Wendell Holmes
I am slowly moving in~

Please add your email address to the SUBSCRIBE ME! powered by Feedblitz.
I changed the service, not sure if this will be better.
Also Shelly from PRESTO SPEAKS suggested I use Bloglines.
When you sign on to Bloglines you can add all your favorite Journals & you will get alerts
when the Journals have entries, as I understand it..; )
I am new to all this, so I am learning as I go. Bloglines seems to be the easiest.
My firefox browser which I just upgraded has been giving me problems tonight.
It keeps freezing on me. I am hoping to just copy & paste this in with out giving me a problem.

Another photo of Muscoot Farm in Somers.
This is taken from a back road of the farm. It was originally owned by the Hopkins Family & used as their summer estate & dairy farm from 1880 to 1924. The family moved to the farm in 1924 year-round & operated the dairy business.
In 1967 Westchester County acquired the property.
It's a neat place to visit. Has many of the original buildings with livestock & poultry typical of the 20 th century gentleman's farm.
