A Glimpse of Italy

Paestum, Italy 2008
One of three Greek Temples from a colony dating around 600BC in Paestum, it was known as Poseidonia but later named Paestum when it became a Roman colony in 273BC. It was later rediscovered around 1750. More photos of Italy can be found on my pbase gallery.

Wow! That's beautiful Marie. Italy has so much history. I love their old ruins and I'm looking forward to seeing more myself in a few weeks!

I just went to your site and saw ALL the photos. Each one is more breathtaking than the last. I was really noticing how your exposures seemed absolutely perfect throughout the depth of the images. I was drawn in (and admitted, a little envious....I would love to go there) Beautiful work Marie. Absolutely stunning.

This is beautiful. I like how you framed it all....a nice blend of an old building and new green growth.

Nice! I wanna go back!

Really makes the pictures more interesting when I know the photographer. I like to think of the person composing and getting just the right shot.

I'll go check out the rest :)

Nice photo, Marie
