I've search for autumn color for weeks so I can just make it into B & W.
I try to get an infrared look & it works best with yellow trees & dark blue skies.
In this case the sky was cloudy so it really didn't come out exactly the way I wanted it to.

This was created for a special person.(Only he knows) I was not going to post it but decided to. It represents some of the little gifts that God has giving me.

I also want to thank all the special people I have met through AOL, with all it's problems, if it wasn't for the AOL Journals I would have never been so connected with so many wonderful people.

RR Challenge: "Offer Three and Shoot One"

Greetings Robins! Time for your next photo challenge. Put on your creative caps as it's an open challenge. Post three future challenge topics with your entry and then pick one of your topics to photograph for your challenge entry. "Offer three and shoot one," your choice!

1. Anything in 3's, must be the same theme & presented in 3 images.

2. Photograph of your hometown, home state, country. Something beautiful that you love about where you live.

3. B & W landscape, you can use different techniques, use Photoshop filters....anything you want but has to be in B & W

On AOL, we've had some entries for blogplugs, so here are mine. This time guys only. These are my favorite male blogs that I enjoy reading. It's too bad we don't have the best alerts system on here because Blogspot has come a long way since many of us switched over from AOL. As you may have guessed from the subject line, the Round Robin Photo Challenges are two years old this month! Yes, on the weekend of April 2nd, 2005, Carly and Karen challenged each other to photograph "A Special Part of Your Hometown." There were three of us for the next Challenge, "Tacky Hometown Souvenirs," and the whole thing just took off from there.

So, in honor of our two year anniversary, we're interrupting our usual rotation of topic suggestions for a special "Best of the Round Robin Photo Challenges"

You have so many ideas that you would like to revitalise but you need to realize a stable and peaceful condition to do so. Once you can free yourself from all the aggravation and tension around you, you will make strides that may amaze you. You will not be prevented from achieving all the things you so desire.

Your Monday Photo Shoot: Post a picture that focuses on the contrast between two opposing colors. What colors are opposites? Green and red are opposites, as are blue and yellow, and orange and purple. So a picture that has something purple in front of something orange would work, or a picture that features blue and yellow in alternating stripes. The subject of the pictures could be anything you like -- but there have to be opposing colors in there.

Don't want anyone to think I abandoned this blog. Have been busy & will be traveling out to LI now that the weather is warmer, on weekends. Hopefully I will be able to photograph other areas of the Island.

Ice Hockey Championship

My son's Hockey team came in 1st Place this season.
They played a great game & have come along way in 3 years or is it 4(time is going too fast).

My other son's basketball team also came in 1st place this season.
They are all excellent players & started off as a weak team, but as soon as they played as a TEAM, it all came together.
Congratulations to both my boys & their teams!!

After practicing action shots, using no flash in an indoor rink with limited lighting,
I have finally got a few shots that I like. The game ended in a forfeit, my son's team won. Which means, his team is still in the playoffs...; )

First of all, This Slideshow is new to me. I have been asked how I did this & would like to share. I do not think this can be used on AOL. If anyone knows how we can do this, please email me.
You can click on the froggy & it will bring you to a site called Imageshack-Slideshow Builder. You will have to register, it is free. I got this through MYSPACE.COM, but I do not think you need to belong to myspace. Once you join Imageshack, you can upload the photos you want in your slideshow, then click on DONE. It will then give you a HTML code to add to your BLOGSPOT Journal. Copy code & paste in the Edit HTML. You have to add it to POST/Create/Edit HTML.
click on preview to make sure it works. Now, this is the problem that I had. Once I liked it, I clicked on Publish Post
A warning comes up & says there is an error. At this point I would give up. But for some reason it does eventually post. Not sure why this happens.

This is my first slide show that I did, but it showed an error & I thought it wouldn't post. Just like my other slideshow below. I have no clue why it won't post. I copied all the codes from IMAGESHACK, so it should post.

Hockey Game

I switched my Subscriptions to Bloglet. I kept Feedblitz also in case anyone prefers Fb. I've been having problems with Fb, so I would like to see how Bloglet works out. I recommend using bloglet to sign up for alerts. Let me know if this system works out better.
